The kids spent the morning raking leaves into our front yard and then jumping in them.

BP or Before Pinterest…I mean what in the heck did we do before Pinterest?

Prior to this year, I have always placed Skip Friddle in the most obvious of places.  According to Pinterest…this is no longer good enough.

My kids should wake up to Skip Fishing in our bathroom..  My only question is, what happens in the morning before school when I have three kids that have to be in there using the fishing bowl and brushing teeth?

They are supposed to wake up and find that Skip got into my flour and made a snow angel.  In a small kitchen with little counter space…how does one use most of the counter for an elf snow angel.  Also, with only whole wheat flour in the house, won’t it just look like he is playing in dirty snow?

The diving elf?  One of the rules of the Elf on the Shelf is that NO ONE can touch him.  So, if we go outside one cold December morning and jump into the car for the short ride to the bus stop, how do I drive with him holding onto my steering wheel without touching him?

I love all of these adorable ideas, but with three kids at home, a full-time job, and all the activities three kids have..I’m lucky I remember Skip Friddle is even with us in the month of December.  He has only been here two nights and I find that I go to bed before moving him to a new spot.  I have to occupy the kids with a task so that I can run downstairs and move him quick before little feet are decending the steps to catch me in the act.

Anyone have any quick, cute, fun ideas for their Elf on the Shelf I can borrow?  I don’t want to be a lame Elf placer:/

Long time no blog..right?

So much has been going on, but believe it our not, the chaos has been a little more manageable.

I had allergy testing..ugh..the itchiest 15 minutes of my life.  I was tested for 28 allergens and had a reaction to 26:/  At this point they are working to open my swollen nasal passages so that we can get the meds in there to clear up the gross stuff.

We welcomed Skip Friddle after Thanksgiving dinner…

I am so thankful this year that my dad is healthy and cancer free, my husband and children are happy and healthy, that my mother and my sisters remain my best friends ever and that so far..this is the best year by far.

Bring on Christmas!  I have so much to share with you…stay tuned:)

falling back in love January 20, 2012

I am totally falling back in love with yoga!

I have practiced on and off for a LONG time.  Unfortunately, life got in the way.

I know it is a figment of my imagination, but even after just 6 classes, I feel stonger.  I find myself sitting straighter and breathing deeper/slower.  My muscles are sore and they feel so good.  I find that I am more calm and I am not taking things too seriously.

I just know that along with a good practice, I also have to give credit to the amazing studio I am going to.  Everyone from from the teachers to the person at the front desk, the other students to the retail items they have to offer are amazing.

So thank you yoga and thank you Charm City.  I think we are going to have a long, loving relationship

Hello, my name is Erin, and I am addicted to pinning…

By now I am sure that you are spending most of your day on Pinterest..right?

Well, if not before reading this, you will be now:)

My favorite pin of the day…

I am gearing up for a packed weekend of yoga, MATH, and family fun.  That’s right folks, the semester is starting this weekend and every Saturday I will be spending 3 hours in a classroom being taught Algebra…not exactly how I like to spend my Saturday mornings…but the plan is to leave class and head straight to a yoga so that the rest of the weekend will be nothing but wonderific:)

I am getting very eager to start my training.  I am excited to train hard for this 1/2 and really do my best.  I set up my fundraising page the other day and competed the firsts recommended fundraising hurdle.  I sent out a gazillion emails.

Fundraising is going to be my most difficult challenge of all.  I get all awkward talking to people and I am horribly terrified of rejection.  So I am going to suck it up and see what happens.  I’ll be keeping you posted!!

Easing into it s-l-o-w-l-y January 16, 2012

So, last night I took another great class at Charm City!  Since I am just coming back from a very long yoga hiatus, I have decided to take some beginner classes.  Yesterday I took a beginner vinyasa class with Christine Lilly.  I was sad when it was over but realized it was exactly what my body and mind needed.  I sent the intention to pay attention to my breath and let my body/breath guide the way.  I felt like a new person afterward and today my body continues to thank me.  I am so exticed that I went and signed up for two more classes this week.  I am ready for the beginner hot vinyasa on Thursday..now if I can just get ditty to agree to take lil b to ballet..i’m set:)

I set up my fundraising page for team in training!!  YAY!!  I hope anyone and everyone will visit my page and be introduced to the wonderful lady I am running for!!!  Her name is Erin Dean and you can read her story from my TNT page.

On a side note…we have finally nailed down a date, time and location of my baby sister’s briday shower.  The wedding is April 27th..only 2 days before the IronGirl 1/2..YIKES!!!
